In 1994 Eric Fishman, MD, an Orthopedic Surgeon, started a speech recognition software company. In the ensuing 14 years he has developed an extensive expertise in the subject of medical records and speech recognition.

In 2004 he embarked upon a long and strenuous journey to find the best algorithms to determine the most appropriate EHR for various practices. The end result is EMRConsultant.com, a database driven matching service for healthcare facilities which is believed to be the largest and most sophisticated matching service available. It utilizes 100,000 data points provided by over 250 Electronic Health Record companies, and compares this information with the questions answered by physicians throughout North America.
