Products from the ALERT® suite have been adopted by 133 hospitals and 436 primary care centers. To date, ALERT® software has never been de-installed.
ALERT® develops all ALERT® products in web-based technology using a 3-tier approach: Flash for the user interface, Java for the middle layer, and Oracle for its database.
ALERT® has templates to document any type of clinical episode. Users can direct their patient history questions as a function of the chief complaint, suggesting differential diagnoses, guidelines, and care plans. ALERT® also provides standard texts for data entry in almost all aspects of documentation. Each user can use ALERT®´s back office to enter their own “frequently used texts." ALERT® includes guidelines and protocols which can be used to create tasks that will be automatically activated in specific circumstances.
In addition to ALERT®’s clinical software operational tool, the ALERT® suite of products includes a Data Warehouse tool - ALERT® DATA WAREHOUSE (ADW) - for analysis of clinical and financial data, giving both clinical staff and management teams access to information pertaining to all clinical operations.
ALERT® also has a unique implementation methodology, which includes on-site facilitator services, provided by teams specialized in the transformation process required for the transition from a paper-based to a paper-free clinical environment.
There are now over 35,000 healthcare professionals who are ALERT® trained and certified users, half of which are physicians. Every day, approximately 100 new healthcare workers are trained to use ALERT®.
