Cerner Ambulatory is the physician practice division of Cerner Corporation. Cerner's vision of proactive healthcare management drives innovation in the development of effective solutions for today's healthcare challenges, while creating a foundation for tomorrow's healthy populations. Technology should make life easier, not more complicated. That's the philosophy behind our family of solutions and services designed to deliver everything physicians need to run a busy practice, while allowing treatment to be personalized to the patient. Cerner Ambulatory Electronic Health Record (EHR) is the complete clinical solution that physician practices of all sizes use to reduce expenses and increase efficiency in their office. Offered as both a client hosted and ASP delivery model, Cerner also offers a stepping stone approach which scales from standalone e-prescribing to a full EHR solution.
For 30+ specialties, Cerner Ambulatory's Electronic Health Record provides clients with a comprehensive library of templates, including specialty-specific templates with standard nomenclature that include ICD-9, SNOMED CT, and HCPCS. Structured documentation is completed using our ambulatory note library of over 500 note templates for disease assessment and management. To customize our structured clinical documentation solution for the entire practice or for an individual, customized notes and macros can be developed at both the organization and person level. These allow a template for a note or individual element to be predefined according to individual practice, and are included while documenting with a single selection.

Unique Installations: KCUMB is a Medical School that has a fully functioning Physician Clinic. The 13 providers split their time between educating medical students in the classroom and seeing patients in the clinic. When KCUMB decided to move forward with EMR, Cerner had to customize their training plan to accommodate both scholastic and clinical schedules for the providers. KCUMB also has their own IT support staff which required constant considerations. The Cerner Project plan was altered tremendously because of the training partitions we established for Physicians, Nurses, and IT. Cerner was able to quickly adapt our training plan to meet the needs of KCUMB.
