| StarPanel is an integrated web-based application that provides physicians with access to clinical information compiled onto one screen. The program includes all the functionality of the original StarChart application and allows viewing of the records of multiple patients and results simultaneously. StarPanel is designed to accommodate complicated multitasking work flows that are common in large healthcare organizations. The software provides users with a number of options for capturing documentation data which include support for hand-written documents, outside transcription of dictated records to fully structured documentation tools. Various communication capabilities exist for users, such as provider-to-provider and provider-to-patient messaging, reminders, alerts, and notifications of new results that are all compiled into one integrated interface that provide physicians with needed flexibility to initiate any task from anywhere in the work flow. The software is widely adopted by the VUMC community and supports over 8,000 simultaneous sessions. |
