From 2002 through 2004, the gold standard wired headset microphone was theSennheiser ME3 which is still popular. Although the ME3 is a great microphone, it hasn't been improved since its inception. While Sennheiser basked in its success, other hungrier microphone manufacturers worked feverishly to topple the ME3 from its #1 rating. UmeVoice's theBoom line of microphones was the 1st manufacturer to drop the ME3 down a peg followed by VXI revamping their TalkProline of microphones and eventually the Audio-Technica Pro 8HEmW dropped the rest of the competition down a notch by introducing a number of firsts which include:

· 1st wired headset microphone toproduce 100% accuracy in a controlled environment

· 1st microphone to produce 99% accuracywhile listing to music at 85 dB

· The only hyper-cardioid headsetmicrophone on our website

· 1st microphone to be rated #1 by ourin-house and independent microphone researchers in comfort, accuracy and noisecancellation

· Can be worn around the back of thehead like the Sennheiser ME3 (but not limited to the right side) or over thetop of the head like a traditional microphone

· Inexpensive when compared to mostother professional microphones

VeriChip Corporation

DELRAY BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--VeriChip Corporation (the “Company”) (NASDAQ:CHIP), a provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) systems for healthcare and patient-related needs, today announced the results of an independent study presented at the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine's Annual Meeting. The study concluded that use of the VeriChip for access to patient medical history verification significantly decreased the emergency care charges among critically injured patients in a randomized, blinded, prospective mass casualty scenario.

The study discussed the benefits gained from providing health care workers with immediate access to patient medical records during a mass casualty scenario. The objective of the study was to evaluate the use of VeriChip for electronic medical record (EMR) access, and whether a patient implanted with the VeriChip would affect emergency charges in a prospective mass casualty exercise. The conclusions stated that use of the VeriChip for access to patient records significantly decreased the emergency care charges among critically injured patients in the mass casualty scenario, with a mean decrease in ordered charges of $685.67 per patient. Theoretically, this translates into over $15 billion in decreased emergency care charges annually for critically ill patients presenting in the emergency room. (Assumption = 4,600 U.S. Emergency Rooms x 5,000 Critically Ill Patients/Annum x $685.67 Avg. Savings/Patient). The study can be accessed at www.aemj.org (Academic Emergency Medicine Journal, Vol. 15, No.5, Supplement1, May 2008 pS99 number 241).

Scott R. Silverman, Chairman and CEO, commented on the results concluded in the study, “We are pleased about the positive outcome yielded in the results. This study adds to the body of evidence further validating that the VeriChip technology can lead to more efficient and effective patient care in a triage or emergency room setting.”

About VeriChip

VeriChip Corporation, headquartered in Delray Beach, Florida, develops, markets and sells RFID systems used to identify, locate and protect people and assets. VeriChip's goal is to become the leading provider of RFID systems for people in the healthcare industry. The Company recently began marketing Health Link, a passive RFID system for rapidly and accurately identifying people who arrive in an emergency room and are unable to communicate. This system uses the first human-implantable passive RFID microchip cleared for medical use in October 2004 by the United States Food and Drug Administration.

For more information on VeriChip, please call 1-800-970-2447, or email info@verichipcorp.com. Information regarding the executive officers and directors of the Company is included in its Form 10-K/A filed with the SEC on April 29, 2008. More detailed information regarding the identity of potential participants, and their direct or indirect interests, by securities, holdings or otherwise, will be set forth in the proxy statement to be filed with the SEC in connection with the proposed Xmark transaction.

Statements about the Company's future expectations, including the benefits believed to be realized by the use of the VeriChip, the timing of distributing a proxy statement and holding a stockholder meeting, the closing of the Xmark transaction with Stanley and all other statements in this press release other than historical facts are "forward-looking statements" within the meaning of Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933, Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and as that term is defined in the Private Litigation Reform Act of 1995. Among the important factors that could actual results to differ materially from those expressed in, or implied by, the forward-looking statements are our ability to successfully implement our business strategy; our expectation that we will incur losses, on a consolidated basis, for the foreseeable future; the relative maturity in the United States and limited size of the markets for our infant protection and wander prevention systems and vibration monitoring instruments; the degree of success we have in leveraging our brand reputation, reseller network and end use customer base for our infant protection and wander prevention systems to gain inroads in the emerging market for asset/staff location and identification systems; the rate and extent of the U.S. healthcare industry’s adoption of RFID asset/staff location and identification systems; the relative degree of market acceptance of our zonal, or cell ID, active RFID systems compared to competing technologies, such as lower power Ultra Wide Band-based location technologies; uncertainty as to whether we will be able to increase our sales of infant protection and wander prevention systems outside of North America; our reliance on third-party dealers to successfully market and sell our products; uncertainty as to whether a market for our VeriMed system will develop and whether we will be able to generate more than a nominal level of revenue from the sale of these systems; and market acceptance of our VeriMed system, which will depend in large part on the future availability of insurance reimbursement for the VeriMed system microchip implant procedure from government and private insurers, and the timing of such reimbursement, if it, in fact, occurs, management’s ability to successfully satisfy the conditions to the closing of the Xmark transaction with Stanley, the ability of the Company to comply with its obligations under agreements governing indebtedness or obtain waivers from lenders in the event of non-compliance, the continued availability of liquidity and capital resources required to complete these transactions, particularly in the event that such transactions require more time than management anticipates, and other factors. Additional information about factors that could affect the Company’s business is set forth in the Company’s various filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, including those set forth in the Company’s 10-K filed on March 28, 2008, as amended, under the caption “Risk Factors.” The Company undertakes no obligation to update or release any revisions to these forward-looking statements to reflect events or circumstances after the date of this statement or to reflect the occurrence of unanticipated events, except as required by law.

Contacts
For VeriChip Corporation, Delray Beach
Jay McKeage, 561-805-8041
jmckeage@verichipcorp.com
or
Investor Relations:
CEOcast, New York
Dan Schustack, 212-732-4300
dschustack@ceocast.com

Nuance has released NaturallySpeaking Ver. 11.5

Many of our customers have contacted us about a confusing Ver.11.5 e-mail message about the release of NaturallySpeaking Ver. 11.5. Theconfusing part is that the message could easily be misinterpreted as a special offerto upgrade existing 11.0 end users to Premium 11.5 for $100. This is simply notthe case. To make matters worse, 1 of our customers nearly made the mistake of purchasingthe Premium 11.5 upgrade for $100 when he was already using Pro 11.5 whichwould have been equivalent to taking 2 steps backward. If you have anyquestions regarding this upgrade, contact us at (615) 884-4558 or Support@KnowBrainer.comor any Nuance licensed reseller. Here is the scoop:

Rather than just releasing a service release patch, Nuance has decided to go toVer. 11.5 in order to introduce some new features which include:

1. IE9 support
2. Adjustable sidebar
3. Social media commands (such as the ability to instantly post to Facebookthrough an IM type of interface)
4. The ability to reverse the damage after utilizing the "choose all" command (Select-&-Saycorrection) by saying "undo all"
5. Resizable Spell Correction Window
6. Turn your iPad or iPhone (not currently available for Android) into awireless Wi-Fi microphone via a downloadable Dragon Remote microphoneapplication
7. Additional iTunes command capability with Bonjour
8. "Quote That", "Bracket That", "Parentheses That"will add quotes ect. to any selected text.
9. Nuance has not yet issued a bug list fix but when the list becomesavailable, it will be posted on the Nuance website and the KnowBrainer Forum.

Please note that existing Ver. 11.0 end users can upgrade to Ver.11.5 at no charge if you choose to download but we have been informed that thedownload may not be available for a few weeks and is so large that most endusers probably won't be able to transfer the entire installation. For this reason, full backup DVDs will also bemade available.

As usual, Nuance has engaged a staggered rollout. DNS Premium 11.0end users can upgrade to 11.5 immediately. DNS Pro 11.0 end users will be ableto upgrade to Pro 11.5 around July 5. DNS Legal 11.5 should be available on theweek of July 11 but there is no word on the release of Dragon Medical 11.5which still appears to be several months away. If you would like to receive ane-mail notification on when and where to obtain Ver. 11.5, as the rolloutprogresses, you can send an e-mail to Support@KnowBrainer.com and we will sendyou the “where and when” information as it becomes available. However, pleaselet us know exactly what version and flavor of NaturallySpeaking you arecurrently using. Example: Preferred 10.1, Premium 11, Pro 9.5 etc... Also notethat if you have a previous version of NaturallySpeaking (Ver. 9 or 10) many NaturallySpeakingresellers will be offering introductory upgrade pricing which looselytranslates as “1/3 off the usual upgrade price” sale. The new temporary pricingis slated to start on the week of July 4th (only a few days away).

HIMSS12

Health IT vendors to show capabilities of electronic health records at HIMSS12.

Jan. 4, 2012, 8:45 a.m. EST

MedAllies Selected to Present Its Direct Solution at the HIMSS12 Interoperability Showcase in February, to Be Demonstrated with NextGen Healthcare and Greenway EHR systems

FISHKILL, N.Y., Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- MedAllies Direct HISP Solution uses existing technology to improve care transitions in a manner consistent with practice workflows

MedAllies has been selected to participate in the HIMSS12 Interoperability Showcase, demonstrating its Direct HISP Solution, an innovative tool to optimize patient care, safety and efficiency through the Direct exchange of crucial patient data.

MedAllies, along with health IT vendors NextGen Healthcare and Greenway Medical Technologies, will demonstrate the capabilities of this technology in the ONC area of the HIMSS12 Interoperability Showcase February 21-23, 2012. The demonstration will repeat the one they presented at November's ONC Annual Grantees meeting in Washington, D.C.

MedAllies was one of only seven sites to launch a pilot for the Direct Project, a national effort spearheaded by the ONC to fast-track electronic information exchange. Each pilot was different; in MedAllies' hands, Direct became a tool to advance primary care models that emphasize care coordination and improved care transitions. The project focuses on common care transition episodes: patient discharge from the hospital back to the primary care physician, a consultation request from a primary care physician to a specialist, and the clinical consultation from the specialist back to the primary care physician. With Direct, clinical information can be moved across disparate electronic health record (EHR) systems in a manner consistent with each practice's established EHR workflow.

The HIMSS demonstration will show precisely how this works. It will involve two clinical sites in upstate New York, Westchester Health Associates (using NextGen® Ambulatory EHR) and Prime Columbia Greene Medical Associates (using Greenway). They will demonstrate a common scenario: A primary care physician (PCP) will request a patient consultation of a cardiologist, after which the cardiologist will return the consultation report to the PCP.

This effort is not about technology for its own sake. It is about technology for the sake of patients, and it is available now. EHRs grow more sophisticated each year but, until recently, their potential has been hampered by the "Tower of Babel" syndrome: Systems from different vendors do not speak the same language. Interoperability--a requirement of Meaningful Use (and, some say, the Holy Grail of health IT)--has been more theory than practice. Its absence puts patients at risk because crucial information may not be communicated when EHRs fail to "understand" each other.

MedAllies remedies that without creating a burden for providers. MedAllies Direct HISP Solution builds on existing technology to achieve interoperability, with physicians using their current EHR systems. The MedAllies approach enhances and optimizes the practices' EHR workflows to process and integrate information exchanged during patient transitions of care. Providers and patients both benefit.

"As physicians, we are committed to providing high-quality, efficient care for our patients. But when a patient comes to our office and we don't have the information we need to care for the patient, it's not only frustrating--it can be life-threatening," explained Holly Miller, M.D., MBA, FHIMSS, chief medical officer of MedAllies. "With MedAllies Direct, clinicians have pertinent clinical information 'pushed' to them in their own EHR system, allowing them to provide the highest quality and most efficient care possible."

MedAllies' demonstration at the Annual ONC All Grantee meeting was well received. To see how well received it was, watch this video from the event praising the demonstration (registration required). Greenway and NextGen share credit for this success.

"It has never been more paramount to seize the opportunities and accelerate the momentum interoperability is driving right now to create a smarter healthcare system, and we are seeing gains in these point-to-point projects, in accountable care coordination, Beacon communities, HIE advancement and many other initiatives," said Justin Barnes, vice president of marketing, industry and government affairs at Greenway.

"We are proud to continue and expand upon our partnership with MedAllies on the Direct Project begun last year and showcased at HIMSS11 with NextGen Healthcare, and as a standard-bearer for the advancement of data exchange," added Barnes, who also serves on the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE-USA) North America board of directors.

Robert Barker, NextGen Healthcare's manager of Interoperability & Standards, stressed the importance of delivering timely, appropriate data to the physicians.

"Implementing the NwHIN Direct specifications as another avenue for interoperability allows the healthcare IT community to share clinical information across disparate systems," he said. "NextGen Healthcare supports the ONC Standards and Interoperability Framework initiatives, and we are pleased to be a part of the upcoming HIMSS demonstration. Standardization of clinical content sharing, transport and schema is the fastest way to see that providers have the right information for the right person at the right time. The Direct Project helps us take an important step in that direction."

It provides unmatched expertise in health information exchange and Direct services. MedAllies operates the THINC eXchange, an HIE designed to increase the completeness of information at the point of care, improve care coordination and standardize quality and public health reporting in New York's Hudson Valley.
iMedicor Announces Agreement With eRx Network

NANUET, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vemics, Inc. (PINK SHEETS:VMCI), a leading provider of hosted, real-time learning and productivity portals, announces an agreement with eRx Network, LLC for the use of Vemics’ iMedicor online, HIPAA compliant EHR (Electronic Health Record) transport network, which will carry prescription refill requests electronically rather than by facsimile or phone. eRx Network is a leading provider of a secure, reliable and performance oriented network for e-commerce applications to the retail pharmacy industry. eRx Network’s premier e-Script physician communication services connect more than 200,000 active participating physicians to national and regional pharmacy chains as well as local community pharmacies.

“We are looking forward to a very exciting partnership with eRx Network,” said Fred Zolla, CEO and President of Vemics, parent company to iMedicor. “This positions iMedicor as a vital partner in the important e-prescribing market – a sector that is experiencing a rapid explosion in growth.” This agreement is a major step in the upgrade of communications capability of physicians worldwide, as the move from facsimile communications moves to fully electronic communications. The iMedicor and eRx agreement will be a significant move to provide physicians and other healthcare workers with the same instantaneous communications ability enjoyed by other healthcare professionals.

“This relationship will move physicians quicker to electronic prescribing and help the pharmacy by eliminating the need to data-enter refill responses,” said Murray Lyle, President and COO of eRx Network. “There is significant room for growth and expansion as this partnership evolves.” eRx Network currently has more than 200,000 active physician subscribers utilizing the network for carrying e-prescribing transactions and prescription refill requests. iMedicor will serve as the secure, HIPAA compliant communication link to this vast user base.

The iMedicor Portal will be integrated with eRx’s e-prescribing network through a specially designed interface. The combined service will optimize prescription refill requests, currently sent by fax, to now transmit electronically to physician offices. Once received, the office will approve or deny the request and a message will travel back to the pharmacy management system and log the result, all through the iMedicor HIPAA compliant system. “The proposed solution will eliminate manual processes and reduce costs for eRx Network pharmacy clients,” said Tom Dorsett, President of Healthcare Solutions for Vemics. “In addition, it will eliminate multiple manual processes for the physician office and take them a step closer to adoption of more profitable e-prescribing technology. It’s a win-win for everyone involved – the pharmacy, the physicians, and most importantly, the patients.”

Benefits of the iMedicor – eRx Network relationship include:

Pharmacy clients no longer have to manually key in information from refill requests that are currently returned by fax.
Physician office staff no longer have to receive requests by fax, rely on phone calls to communicate with the pharmacy or use fax machines to return requests to pharmacy.
Reduced transactional cost to eRx Network pharmacy clients.
A new pharmacy area to iMedicor that benefits pharmacists with free productivity tools and educational content
IMedicor will gain access to over 200,000 physicians.
The iMedicor portal will assist in reducing cost, more efficient internal operations, increased speed and accuracy in processing transactions and eliminate unnecessary document touch points
The iMedicor portal, which went live on October 10th, is the health industry’s first free, HIPAA-compliant online personal health data exchange and secure messaging portal for physician collaboration, community and referrals. MedGadget, the influential online journal of emerging medical technologies, recently praised the portal’s simple interface and usability of the system (http://www.medgadget.com ). The portal’s proprietary HIPAA-compliant technology and ability to enable health providers to exchange medical record data, documentation, images, etc. are what distinguishes it from the chat-room-style portals for doctors currently in existence. “We recognized early in our development stage that the electronic transfer of medical records, files and images was lacking in modern communication between doctors and other health care workers,” said Zolla. “We believe iMedicor will quickly become the Physicians Internet, and alliances like eRx Network will greatly add to that goal”.

Physicians, healthcare professionals and patients are all permitted to access the free site at www.iMedicor.com.
Kaiser Permanente Launches Mobile App to Make Finding Care Facilities Easy and Convenient

Kaiser Permanente Launches Mobile App to Make Finding Care Facilities Easy and Convenient

Free mobile app allows patients on the go to locate Kaiser Permanente facilities.

OAKLAND, Calif., July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaiser Permanente announced today the launch of its first mobile application, KP Locator. The app, available at no charge through the iPhone App Store, is just one element of Kaiser Permanente's growing mobile strategy, which also includes the optimization of My Health Manager, Kaiser Permanente's integrated personal health record on kp.org, for mobile devices later this year.

The Facility Directory on kp.org is one of Kaiser Permanente's top five online tools with nearly six million visits in 2010. KP Locator combines the power of the robust directory and the iPhone's GPS capabilities to make searching for KP facilities fast and easy for patients on the go. It answers three of the most basic, but vital, user questions thoroughly and simply – where are the Kaiser Permanente locations close to me, how can I contact and get to them, and what departments and services can I access there?

Using Google maps, KP Locator has a simple and intuitive interface familiar to iPhone owners. Users can input a city name or ZIP code to find the KP facilities in their area. Search results can be viewed as pins on a map or a list. Users simply tap the desired facility to view address and phone number information and departments and services available there. Users can add the facility to their favorites list to quickly access the information later, add phone numbers to their contact list, and text or email facility information to someone else. By tapping on the "Directions to here" button on the facility information screen, users can get driving, walking or public transportation directions to the facility. Ultimately, the goal is to provide convenient mobile tools that empower patients to manage their health, no matter the device or operating system.

"Mobile solutions, like KP Locator and the upcoming mobile-optimized version of My Health Manager, mobile.kp.org, are a natural progression in delivering a high-quality care experience," said Phil Fasano, executive vice president and chief information officer, Kaiser Permanente. "Mobile solutions also address the rising costs of health care by giving members access to routine information and services without staff intervention, making interactions more convenient, personal and effective."

The new and future mobile capabilities complement Kaiser Permanente's already significant web presence, providing members with convenient, 24-7 access to their personal health information and to their care teams, and could lead to increased self-management and better health outcomes. Mobile capabilities also allow Kaiser Permanente to engage new member populations that may have a cell phone or other mobile device, but not a home computer.

"Recent analytics reports show that more than 14 percent of visits to kp.org are from mobile devices and smart phones," said Christine Paige, senior vice president for marketing and Internet services, Kaiser Permanente. "As mobile devices become more and more affordable, that number will grow. We want our members who have those devices to have easy access to all of the same high-quality online tools on their mobile devices as they have from standard computers."

Kaiser Permanente members, from healthy, young adults to Medicare beneficiaries, have enjoyed online access to their lab test results, medications and other important health information since 2007. More than 3.5 million members have signed up to access My Health Manager, which received more than 62 million logins in 2010. The secure personal health record also allows members to order prescription refills and message their doctors, often saving them the inconvenience of having to go to a physician's office or wait on hold to speak with a clinician on the phone.

Kaiser Permanente is known for its leadership in the use of health information technology (health IT) and its groundbreaking electronic health record, Kaiser Permanente HealthConnect®, which is the largest private EHR in the world. KP HealthConnect enables all of Kaiser Permanente's more than 15,000 physicians to electronically access the medical records of all 8.8 million Kaiser Permanente members nationwide and serves as a model for other systems. The health care provider has received numerous awards for its health IT expertise including 35 HIMSS Stage 7 Awards, more than any other health care organization.

Electronic Health Records Implementation

Clerity Introduces Healthcare IT Services Division

Delivers solutions and turnkey systems for cost-effective and enhanced quality of care.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 01, 2011--Clerity Solutions, a full-service provider of migration, modernization and optimization solutions, today introduced Clerity Healthcare, a business unit of the company that provides turnkey hardware and software solutions, as well as specialized consulting services, for the healthcare market.

Clerity formed the division to meet the acquisition, configuration and implementation of IT equipment, and software needs of healthcare providers in many settings, including small physician practices, large healthcare systems and clinical programs. The business unit also offers specialized services such as electronic health records implementation, information lifecycle management and security audits.

Rather than negotiating contracts with multiple suppliers to address hardware, software and IT service requirements, companies partner with Clerity Healthcare to get one agreement managing the entire process of obtaining and deploying IT resources, along with professional oversight of their technology investments. Clerity Healthcare has dedicated resources with healthcare specialization, and the company works with other established IT providers, such as GE Healthcare and Hewlett-Packard, to provide specialized healthcare solutions.

Clerity Healthcare is an ISO 9001:2008 certified medical system integrator, with expertise in providing turnkey systems and information lifecycle management solutions that help simplify administration and drive down the cost of IT ownership. With an installed base of over 500 customers, Clerity Healthcare has already delivered more than 400 successful electronic health record and practice management implementations at sites ranging from single physician practices to large, multi-site hospitals.

Certified pre-tested healthcare IT systems, such as those for e-medical records, are of growing importance as hospitals and physician offices implement modernized IT-based tools that cut costs and show meaningful use to qualify for financial incentives under the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The Act, passed by Congress in 2009 as a means of economic stimulus, provides benefits for healthcare institutions that computerize medical records in an effort to decrease patient care errors and reduce healthcare costs. Investment in IT technology now is anticipated to result in lower long-term health spending and a more stable system.

“Healthcare organizations can modernize their IT systems while reducing costs with preconfigured, pre-tested, and certified hardware and software solutions,” explained Brandon Edenfield, president of Clerity. “Our expertise in delivering end-to-end healthcare solutions offers an effective way to improve quality of patient care.”
