I find it amazing that I was able to get so much assistance from an absolute stranger on the subject of electronic records.

To be honest, I don't really know much about the subject - but my partners have told me we need to get one.

So, I start looking for a program. And looking and looking and looking. As you've probably figured out by now - there are a lot of them, and it isn't an easy task to figure out what to do.

Okay - so there are the RECs, paid for by the government. But I remain skeptical.

However, I went to www.emrconsultant.com and filled out a questionnaire. I wasn't expecting much.

But the report that I got 1 day later blew me away. A handful of suggestions, each one with specific reasons why they would be appropriate for my practice in particular.

As I chatted with them, I got to understand that they have this incredible database, and it is really rather easy for them to sort through all the requirements.

And, they do it, apparently, because they get to sell more Dragon speech that way.

In any case, it sure worked for me.
