NANUET, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vemics, Inc. (PINK SHEETS:VMCI), a leading provider of hosted, real-time wub.gif learning and productivity portals, announces an agreement with eRx Network, LLC for the use of Vemics’ iMedicor online, HIPAA compliant EHR (Electronic Health Record) transport network, which will carry prescription refill requests electronically rather than by facsimile or phone. eRx Network is a leading provider of a secure, reliable and performance oriented network for e-commerce applications to the retail pharmacy industry. eRx Network’s premier e-Script physician communication services connect more than 200,000 active participating physicians to national and regional pharmacy chains as well as local community pharmacies.

“We are looking forward to a very exciting partnership with eRx Network,” said Fred Zolla, CEO and President of Vemics, parent company to iMedicor. “This positions iMedicor as a vital partner in the important e-prescribing market – a sector that is experiencing a rapid explosion in growth.” This agreement is a major step in the upgrade of communications capability of physicians worldwide, as the move from facsimile communications moves to fully electronic communications. The iMedicor and eRx agreement will be a significant move to provide physicians and other healthcare workers with the same instantaneous communications ability enjoyed by other healthcare professionals.

“This relationship will move physicians quicker to electronic prescribing and help the pharmacy by eliminating the need to data-enter refill responses,” said Murray Lyle, President and COO of eRx Network. “There is significant room for growth and expansion as this partnership evolves.” eRx Network currently has more than 200,000 active physician subscribers utilizing the network for carrying e-prescribing transactions and prescription refill requests. iMedicor will serve as the secure, HIPAA compliant communication link to this vast user base.

The iMedicor Portal will be integrated with eRx’s e-prescribing network through a specially designed interface. The combined service will optimize prescription refill requests, currently sent by fax, to now transmit electronically to physician offices. Once received, the office will approve or deny the request and a message will travel back to the pharmacy management system and log the result, all through the iMedicor HIPAA compliant system. “The proposed solution will eliminate manual processes and reduce costs for eRx Network pharmacy clients,” said Tom Dorsett, President of Healthcare Solutions for Vemics. “In addition, it will eliminate multiple manual processes for the physician office and take them a step closer to adoption of more profitable e-prescribing technology. It’s a win-win for everyone involved – the pharmacy, the physicians, and most importantly, the patients.”

Benefits of the iMedicor – eRx Network relationship include:

Pharmacy clients no longer have to manually key in information from refill requests that are currently returned by fax.
Physician office staff no longer have to receive requests by fax, rely on phone calls to communicate with the pharmacy or use fax machines to return requests to pharmacy.
Reduced transactional cost to eRx Network pharmacy clients.
A new pharmacy area to iMedicor that benefits pharmacists with free productivity tools and educational content
IMedicor will gain access to over 200,000 physicians.
The iMedicor portal will assist in reducing cost, more efficient internal operations, increased speed and accuracy in processing transactions and eliminate unnecessary document touch points
The iMedicor portal, which went live on October 10th, is the health industry’s first free, HIPAA-compliant online personal health data exchange and secure messaging portal for physician collaboration, community and referrals. MedGadget, the influential online journal of emerging medical technologies, recently praised the portal’s simple interface and usability of the system (http://www.medgadget.com ). The portal’s proprietary HIPAA-compliant technology and ability to enable health providers to exchange medical record data, documentation, images, etc. are what distinguishes it from the chat-room-style portals for doctors currently in existence. “We recognized early in our development stage that the electronic transfer of medical records, files and images was lacking in modern communication between doctors and other health care workers,” said Zolla. “We believe iMedicor will quickly become the Physicians Internet, and alliances like eRx Network will greatly add to that goal”.

NANUET, N.Y.-- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- iMedicor (OTCBB: VMCI) today announced that it has entered into a Master Teaming Agreement with AxSys Healthcare Corporation (“AxSys”). The Master Teaming Agreement enables iMedicor to market and deliver AxSys Excelicare solutions to its US clients. It also licenses iMedicor as a prime contractor to share in recurring revenue derived from participating healthcare provider and patient portals, Electronic Health Record (EHRs) “Lite” systems, and electronic data interchange solutions.

Going forward, iMedicor will combine its community-based, secure messaging platform with AxSys Excelicare’s solutions to offer functionality that complies with the US federally mandated inter-operability requirements, for the adoption of EHRs, and to ensure that participating physicians are eligible for ARRA funding.

“AxSys’s industry-leading integration technology brings a very unique bundle of functionality to our market,” said Fred Zolla, CEO and President of iMedicor. “We look forward to working with AxSys Health to expand our business development opportunities and this partnership will play a key role in expanding iMedicor’s community-based, secure messaging platform.”

“The iMedicor relationship brings AxSys many exciting new strategic client opportunities. About AxSys Health Corporation, North America

AxSys Health Corp. is the North American division of AxSys Technology Ltd. (UK) which was founded by physicians in 1997. Its vision is to develop innovative clinical solutions using advanced information and communication technologies to help improve healthcare delivery in a collaborative care environment. AxSys has concentrated development on a core software architecture, which is used as the basis for providing wide-ranging, patient-centered solutions to the global healthcare market. With the shift from a hospital based expert centric and in-patient delivery model to a patient centric multi-disciplinary ambulatory delivery model, AxSys recognized that conventional EHR technology had to evolve to address the emerging requirements of this distributed and collaborative care model of healthcare delivery. The main AxSys product, Excelicare, incorporates a host of interoperability capabilities together with a semantic mapping and clinical process modeling framework. This enables the Excelicare Platform to exchange data with disparate data sources and harvest clinically meaningful information from this data in order to orchestrate efficient care delivery across a community. Excelicare’s unique, dynamic data-model based architecture allows AxSys to offer highly tailored solutions that reflect the complex working patterns of care providers across the healthcare spectrum, thereby leading to greater engagement with end users. Excelicare is an enterprise wide solution that addresses all aspects of clinical care management. More information on AxSys Health Corp. is available at www.axsyshealth.com

The SunCoast RHIO makes alliance with iMedicor.

Jan. 24, 2012, 9:28 a.m. EST

iMedicor to Provide CMS-Certified Gateway for Secure and Private Exchange of Health Information Over the Internet
Builds on Company's NHIN Direct Project Solution to Benefit Entire Healthcare Community

NANUET, NY, Jan 24, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- iMedicor today announced it is adding esMD (Electronic Submission of Medical Data) and HIH (Health Information Handler) technology and certifications to iMedicor's flagship service, the HIPAA-compliant Social Health Information Exchange (SocialHIE). With this latest enhancement, iMedicor puts doctors, hospitals and other healthcare providers "almost a full year ahead" of the CMS (Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services) adoption deadline for the computer-to-computer exchange of protected health information -- and can dramatically cut staff time and costs by moving providers away from paper-based transactions.

CMS and its contractors routinely issue millions of requests for claims, audit and other medical documentation. Without esMD capability, each request requires staff to find, copy and send pages and pages of paper documents by mail or fax -- meaning a single request can tie up staff for hours. With iMedicor's new esMD capability, staff can respond using a few clicks of the mouse.

iMedicor is able to offer this capability through a partnership with The SunCoast RHIO, a Health Information Exchange and Regional Health Information Organization that services the Southwest Region of Florida and is one of the oldest organizations of its kind in the state. The RHIO interacts with other organizations in Florida and in other states where its winter residents reside during other parts of the year.

Last week, iMedicor had announced the inclusion of the NHIN Direct project solution to its SocialHIE platform. The inclusion of the CMS esMD and HIH standards, technology and certification builds on the NHIN Direct project solution to benefit the entire healthcare community.

In addition to the transmission of data through the CMS system, doctors and hospitals within the SunCoast RHIO network will have access to many of the features and benefits that are currently available to members of iMedicor's SocialHIE, including use of a secure social network that is coupled with a Health Information Exchange and addresses 100% of the Meaningful Use requirements for Interoperability between disparate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

"We are very excited about our alliance with The SunCoast RHIO; it represents the next major step in establishing iMedicor's SocialHIE as the most robust healthcare communications platform available today," said Fred Zolla, iMedicor CEO. "With esMD and HIH certification delivered through NHIN Connect Gateways, iMedicor can now provide doctors and large healthcare organizations with the highest levels of security and functionality."

Mr. Zolla noted that implementation and use of the most advanced health information technology continues to evolve under the supervision of The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and The Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS). "With a strong partner like SunCoast RHIO, I am confident that SocialHIE will always be compliant with the highest standards and regulations established by ONC, and at the same time maintain its flexibility to offer communications options designed to fit each provider's own day-to-day clinical work flow."

"Our new association with iMedicor's SocialHIE allows The SunCoast RHIO to build upon the iMedicor technology with our planned certification of the CMS esMD and HIH platform beginning in April 2012," added Louis Galterio, CEO and Managing Director of SunCoast RHIO. "Being an HIH is a natural fit for us and allows the provider community a direct way to address reporting, security and compliance so that the revenue cycle is not slowed down by the introduction of new regs. In fact, our solution gives our participants new tools to enhance revenue. The iMedicor SocialHIE package is the perfect delivery method that wraps all the new standards and regulations into an easy-to-use format that we know the healthcare community will respond to in a very favorable manner."

About iMedicor:

iMedicor is a provider of comprehensive healthcare communications solutions that enable physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize the use of technology in managing their practices and participating in the federally-mandated transition from paper to Electronic Health Records (EHRs). Through two primary services, iMedicor offers low-cost, easy-to-adopt solutions that can be tailored to the needs of individual practices or larger organizations:

-- SocialHIE, the first information exchange platform to offer secure
messaging services within a social/professional networking
architecture. SocialHIE enables any physician, clinic or hospital to
transmit and share information such as patient data, test results and
images within a secure, HIPAA-compliant environment -- and even
between disparate HER systems. SocialHIE also offers additional
advantages such as community development, the ability to create
private healthcare information exchange networks with patient specific
information, and access to a vast catalog of accredited continuing
medical education (CME) programs.
-- Meaningful Use Consulting Services. iMedicor is qualified to assist
primary care practices with EHR adoption and system integration, and
to help them attain Meaningful Use and receive payment from the
Federal Government for their compliance.

About The SunCoast RHIO

The SunCoast RHIO is owned and operated by SunCoast RHIO, Inc., a Florida Corporation and has been in existence since 2008. The SunCoast RHIO offers Health Information Exchange and other services to doctors and hospitals and other caregivers through an information clearinghouse. We offer technology support, and installation assistance for various healthcare technology products for private practices as well as clinics and hospitals. This includes Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Personal Health Records.
