In Topic: The Stimulus Bill
05 November 2011 - 09:14 PM
I hear a lot about people (doctors) getting their stimulus funding. Or at least I think I do.
What I really hear about is doctors attesting that they're using certified EHRs, and that therefore they're eligible for the money.
Do you know anyone, perhaps yourself even, who has actually gotten the cold hard cash in hand?
I'd sure like to know! -

Nuance sure is in the news a lot. What do you think will be next? -
In Topic: EHR's show more complete info
09 July 2011 - 03:47 PM
With the ever increasing technology of bringing data forward from the previous visits, the office notes are getting longer and longer, but it is certainly not clear if they are getting more and more complete.
It would be interesting to start a list of errors that were noted by virtue of the bringing forward of previous data.
Anyone care to start it? -
In Topic: The Right Goal For Its E-Prescribing: Perfection

Perfection - that is a pretty steep goal indeed.
I have to admit that my handwriting is crappy - and that eprescribing will help that out a bunch.
But - perfection - I doubt it! -

Yes, and in fact, even without the $44,000 in Federal funding, it may pay financially to adopt an EHR. Yes - it is a pain the old arse - but can be well worth it.
